Time Machine cannot back up because some Dropbox files have not finished syncing
I am running Dropbox on a MacBook Air M2 running Sequoia 15.5. When I opened up the Mac this morning, it prompted me to update the Dropbox app - which I did. I now find that Time Machine will not backup with the message Time Machine cannot back up because some Dropbox files have not finished syncing. I've tried quitting Dropbox, taking it out of the login items and restarting, but it makes no difference. Before I just delete Dropbox (I only use it for a small number of files shared with others), is there anything I can try?
How to view Backup folder on DropBox app?
Greetings community! Previously, I used to be able to see my Mac represented on my Dropbox as a folder (I had enabled the backup option). This was super convenient because I could easily access my files on-the-go using my Dropbox iPhone app. However, due to a computer issue, I needed to wipe my MacBook Pro clean and reinstall everything (including Dropbox). I enabled backup for my MacBook. However, now, it doesn't show me the MacBook folder like it used to. So I can't access my files on the go. It shows me that I have backed up my files and I am able to see them through a web browser. However, the folder representing my MacBook (backup) has stopped showing on Dropbox. Is this due to some update in how backups work now for Dropbox on Mac? How do I get the backup folder to start showing up on Dropbox again. Thanks!
Getting an error backing up my Dropbox files through RCLONE
HI all, am trying to make a backup of the dropbox, to another cloud also, while doing so, i succeeded with all the other clouds to connect with the rclone, only i faced problem with the Dropbox !! when i ask " YES open the browser for Authintication ... it always redirect to : Invalid redirect_uri. i have tried many ways, asked all the AI, and tried all possibilities ... even did it manual auth. nothing worked so far !! anyone can help "Thanks in Advance for all"
Can I create hyperlinks in a PDF to locations on my local Dropbox folder on Mac?
Hi I am trying to make hyperlinks in a pdf which will bring me to locations on my dropbox folder. Currently I am able to get to my web folder but I have connected dropbox to my Mac and would like to go to a location in my finder. Is that possible and would it also work for other people at my company? Since the folder directory has your username included into it?
On Mac, cannot add 'Dropbox for Teams' as a storage account
Someone in our small org is trying to enable co-authoring from Microsoft Office desktop apps. Looks like someone was able to add 'Dropbox for Teams' as a storage account but that's not showing up for us on a Mac running Sequoia with updated Microsoft Office and Dropbox app. Is anyone able to add it in Word, Excel, or PowerPoint on their Mac? How can I make my password-saving app save its database to Dropbox and sync it to other devices?
I have a password program on my pc that saves the data base file to Documents\My Safes when it closes. Do I have to direct the program to save to the DBox folder instead of the...\My Safes folder if I wish to have the file automatically synced with Drop Box each time it is updated? Secondly, is it possible to have the file that is on DBox sync to the one on the PC if I change the Dbox file from my phone?
