I referred a coworker whose computer was total new and never had Dropbox before but my referral was tagged as ineligible. I am unable to contact support because I am using the free version. Any idea how I can get this resolved. Thank you very much.Solved52Views0likes3CommentsMy Dropbox account appears full, but my files are only half the size.
Hello everyone, This is my last try at fixing my storage issue before leaving dropbox. like other users before, my plan says my storage is at over 2 GB but my files are at less than half that. i have permanently deleted any deleted files. i have looked at events, nothing unusual there. any ideas as to how to fix? Thanks in advance, Sara132Views0likes9CommentsMy Dropbox account is showing 3x more data than I have on my disc and shared folders.
Hi, recently my Dropbox has warned me about going above quota (I use basic and should have a total of 4.8 GB available). The problem is - it is showing that I've gone to more than 12 GB when in fact I'm using less than 4.6. Here are some screenshots showing what I've been able to determine so far: - Here's the warning message: - Dropbox on my hard drive (I have no files which are exclusively in cloud so this should equal my personal data stored on Dropbox): Sizes of the shared folders I'm a member of: From what I see, worst case I should be slightly over quota, but certainly not at 12 GB mark. Any ideas?? ThxSolved158Views0likes3CommentsReferral stuck in "waiting to install", even though the recipient has installed the mobile app.
My referral credit is not awarded to my account yet and its stuck in "Waiting for Install" even though user has installed the App on their phone and are using it on both phone and the web.45Views0likes5CommentsA new referral has been marked ineligible, even though my friend has a brand new computer.
Hello all, A friend of mine has purchased a new computer. I recommended them to install Dropbox and invited them to use my referral link. The link was sent to an email which was new and never had Dropbox attached to it. The computer was also purchased a few days ago. I do know that a friend has had Dropbox installed on their old computer which was used by another family member. This had a different email linked to it as the Dropbox was used by another family member. To conclude, I did refer a NEW client. They have not used Dropbox before, but used a computer that had Dropbox installed on it. Now they have their own computer, would like to have their own Dropbox and this is considered to be ineligible by Dropbox. The new computer is not linked to the other computer. What is the problem?143Views0likes8CommentsOur referral has been marked ineligible, even though it shouldn't be.
I recently referred to a colleague to setup a new dropbox account on his Mac. After installing and login the desktop app, the status of the referral says X Ineligible. Based on the info from the help center that Ineligible: The recipient is ineligible for the referral program. - This may mean that the recipient already has an account with Dropbox, or that the recipient is attempting to register with the same computer as you. - If you feel this status is inaccurate, double-check the email address of your recipient to try again. I do not think either applies to us, and would like to get some support to figure this out.49Views0likes3CommentsSeveral of my referrals have been marked as ineligible. Why is that?
Hi Dropbox team, I’ve been using Dropbox for many years and participating in the referral program. However, several referrals over the past decade were marked as “Invalid” or “Awaiting installation” — despite users signing up and installing Dropbox properly. Here is a portion of my referral history: - **20/05/2025** – *@hotmail.com* → Invalid - **01/05/2020** – *@icloud.com* → Invalid - **22/09/2013** – *@yahoo.com.ar* → Awaiting installation (still pending after 10+ years!) - **11/06/2010** – *@hotmail.com* → Referral sent, never updated These users used my referral link, signed up, and in some cases installed the desktop app. I currently have 8.75 GB of referral space, so I believe I’m still eligible for more bonuses. I’d really appreciate it if someone could review my referral status and confirm whether these bonuses can still be applied, or if there’s any issue I should be aware of. Thank you in advance!52Views0likes2Comments
